Dr. Deo

Dr. Deo came to Georgia Tech in August 2007 as an Assistant

Professor of Nuclear and Radiological Engineering. Prior, he was

at the Materials Science and Technology Division of Los Alamos

National Laboratory and obtained his PhD from the University of

Michigan. He studied radiation effects in structural materials (iron

and ferritic steels) and nuclear fuels (uranium dioxide). At PRIND,

his research interests include investigating structure-property

relationships in materials for radiation detection using multiscale

modeling techniques.
